    Bought the DVD Player RCA 10″ Dual Screen Mobile DVD System DRC79108 on June 10, 2018 at my local Walmart for my one year old grandsons entertainment on around town trips and long distance trips. The device worked great for awhile then today, Aug 15, 2018 I got a message from my daughter-in-law saying it keeps shutting off and starting over. Also when you try to pick a scene it just shuts off. Very disappointed!

    Got the DVD player for my 1year old to watch on long distance road trips, we bought it Nov 2017 and it has not worked one bit, keeps freezing saying “unknown disc” or shutting off for no apparent reason. Called Customer support and say on the phone on hold for over 40 mins.

    I love this . I have two toddlers and omg it helps while i drive. the kids always distract me from driving that i almost crashed. i bought this on black Friday at walmart and OMG it soooo worth every penny. its a complete quite ride from point A to point B. Only thing my son broke the battery adaptor and they do not sell that in store. I bought replacement on amazon but no luck. Its been 5 months since it broke and i really need this part. this keeps the kids busy while you can drive safely

    Good size screens and easy to operate, but the connector cable is worthless. It’s far too short and incredibly flimsy. It broke after only two car trips. I’m sure I can get a new one, but I don’t appreciate the hassle.

    Is it possible to leave no stars? My mom bought this for my daughter on her 1st birthday. So, I got it 3 days after it was bought, put it in the car a week after. Keep in mind it’s now been 10 days since purchase. It’s a POS! Hasn’t ever worked right. The DVD came right off the center piece while I was driving down the road. The screen keeps shutting off and saying “OPEN”. We have been in the car for 30 mins and it had shut off and restarted itself 13 times now. I tried returning it to Walmart with my receipt and they refused to take it back bc it had been longer than 15 days! Seriously, 10 days had passed before I even gotten it. Dont waste your money people. This product is crap and now I’m stuck with it and out another $100+ to buy one that actually will work.

    I bought two of these for my grandchildren. They worked great at first, but recently have had a little bit of trouble. My son’s DVD player the cord broke that connects it to the second DVD player so the second one doesn’t work at all. My daughter’s has had some difficulty staying on but we did clean the lens and it seems to work better now. My daughter has a hooked her second one up yet, because the baby is still too little. I’ve looked everywhere online, but can’t seem to find a replacement cord.

    This thing is absolute garbage. Cheaply made and does not work. From the day I bought it, it has had issues. It either says unknown disc, or no disc. I have tried numerous DVDs and none work. If it happens to read the DVD it lasts no longer than 5 minutes. Do not buy.

    Same as others are saying. Cable is short for car seats facing different directions and the cable is already on first use having some durability issues. The ten inch screen is very nice but not sure how the unit will be for durability and length it lasts. Player worked well on first use yesterday but cord is very fragile along with the ports they plug into on the players

    I bought this DVD player for my Expedition on Black Friday and when I went to install it, the cord to connect the 2 screens isn’t long enough to reach both headrests. I tried looking up the model in support and it wasn’t listed. I’ve also now been on hold with your customer support team now for 43 min and counting.     I bought these DVD players for my kids for Christmas. The connection cord was too short for a rear facing carseat and front facing carseat. One child went with having to hold his and the end of the connection cord broke within a day! I’m so extremely disappointed and the cord is out of stock so my kids can’t even use their useless Christmas gift. Extremely disappointed is an understatement!!! This product needs to be taken off the shelf, redesigned and replaced. This is ridiculous.

    Sad thing is almost everyone review down here is about the goddamn connecting cables from which I am having the same exact problem they KNOW it’s a problem they’re just to ding cheap to fix it and watch after I finish typing this they just will send me a automatic computer generating response to Just “come contact us at our email”crap. these people so don’t care that’s probably why this was on sale at Walmart. I would give this negative and no stars if I could do not buy this product use a different one no matter what the price difference is and make sure it has a USB connecting cable for the screens.     I purchased this for my kids to replace the one I had before and my kids both face different directions. The cable to plug it in was hardly long enough to reach the plug in the front of my car. On top of that the cord to connect the two tv’s isn’t long enough so my daughter doesn’t get to use hers. What’s the point of two if you don’t make the connecting cord long enough to run both?

    Bought this unit for our daughters for Christmas. It has been connected in the suv for exactly (one) month and it already doesn’t play DVDs. It’s was used maybe once a week. Pretty much just take 100$ and toss it in the trash if you plan on purchasing this unit. RCA has been around for years and had always made quality electronics but not sure what happened in the R&D stage on this unit, apparently product testing doesn’t exists anymore. I

    Terrible device. Straight out of the box, it didn’t have the cord to attach the two monitors. Contacted customer service via email, they want a receipt before they’ll send me one….Unfortunately I don’t have one because it was a gift! So I’m directed to a site to purchase one. $5, It’s out of stock & they don’t know when it’ll be back. Ok whatever, it’s to keep my screaming 2 year old occupied during car rides so I can just use one monitor. The second day it was used, it continued to reset itself or give a error message and continued often with every use. Today I go to turn it on and it refuses to turn on, it worked yesterday and suddenly doesnt today. If I can save a single person the hassle…..don’t buy this product. Save your money.

    I am very dissatisfied on how the warranty is being Handel from RCA. I have been trying to get in contact with anyone inside the company regarding my portable DVD player that I bought last October 2018. I have a year warranty on the product and need to exchange. It stop working on my like 2 month ago. Ever since I have been trying to return it but RCA keeps telling me that RCA is not the manufacturer of my device. I have contact every single manufacturer that was part of the assembley of the dvd and they all say RCA should be responsablefor the warranty. I am very upset, and frustrated that RCA just tell you there not the manufacturer and like that is all bye it’s not fair that you. By a product which offers a year warranty and they don’t even try to help you. It’s very disturbing as a client. I will never recorded this product to any one not because it’s bad but because of false asdvertise And promises they don’t keep

    Don’t buy! Purchased one 2 months ago & it already doesn’t work well. Skips and glitches constantly which is frustrating for the kids & I both. It can no longer be returned to the Walmart I purchased it from (15 day return policy) so I am stuck with a hunk of junk. I will never purchase a RCA product again. Very disappointed.

    This dvd system would be awesome if it worked. You can’t skip through previews without the remote is one thing that sucks but I can live with that. The cable the hooks the together is a custom cord that’s very low quality. There again I can live with that. The biggest problem I have is it will play for about 2-5 mins (normally previews) then it restarts. If you leave it plugged in it will kill you battery if you don’t drive it for a few days. Not work buying at all.

    I got these on Black Friday for a great deal. The connector cable broke quickly as it is very flimsy. There is not another one available to purchase. They should sell spare parts and make the connector cable longer.

    I am very happy with the picture and sound quality however, not so happy with the cords. The power cord has completely snapped and the connector cord is on its way out as well. We have only owned the players for a few months so this is upsetting to both me and my kids! I was hoping to purchase both cords to replace the broken/almost broken ones but having no luck finding them anywhere!

    Would give 0 stars if I could! Really with I had read some of the reviews prior to purchasing. Bought on 4-7-19 at my local Walmart for a 2 week trip.. Not even an hour into my trip it would keep restarting (what the kids would call the “dog menu”. Did this multiple times on the 1 disc. Tried other discs just to make sure …and sure enough, sis it on those as well. Needless to say…it was a LOOOONG trip having to hear the kids complain about it!. Was not able to return at Walmart because unbeknownst to me, they have a 15 day warranty (I was on vacation for those 15 days).

    I really like it. Good video and sound quality. My kids love being able to watch movies on long car rides. I do have one in a rear facing and one in a forward facing car seat. Tight stretch but doable in our rav4. I wish the video connector was longer. Is there an option for a longer cord? If not, is there a connector to hook two of the cords together? That would be perfect. Really good product for the price.

    Bought this dvd player on black Friday at Wal-Mart and loved it, then 2 weeks ago it quit working properly. Keeps saying it’s open when it clearly is not and keeps restarting itself. I’ve tried everything I can to get it to work but it just keeps doing the same thing. Pretty disappointed cause my children love being able to watch cartoons while riding.

    It worked for about 4 months – it just stopped mid road trip one day. The cord that connects the two screens is very fragile and not sturdy whatsoever – I would suggest changing to an hdmi cable. The power cord is a good length though.
